About Us

MicroCool was founded in 1980 in the Palm Springs area. It all began when two forward-thinking local residents wanted a way to escape the desert heat during the summer of 1980. They believed others were looking for the same relief. Their solution was an innovative approach to cooling: MicroCool adiabatic fog technology.

They knew they had something special when the patio at Las Casuelas Terraza restaurant went from empty to standing-room-only on a 115°F Sunday afternoon. The cooling fog drew so much attention that the local fire department was called after someone mistook the fog for smoke. The unusual scene made front-page and television news. What started as a creative way to make outdoor spaces comfortable quickly brought a new kind of cooling to the desert. As word spread, customers around the world began finding new uses for MicroCool systems in horticulture, manufacturing, and many other environments. 

The Mission

MicroCool designs high-pressure fogging and environmental control solutions for growing environments, industrial spaces, and process cooling for air-cooled systems.
